I was 19 at the time (52 now) and although I had never heard of them I went to the gig and was blown away by their sheer energy and raw rock & roll style, I have been a fan ever since. I can't remember the exact set but I do to recall Angus wearing a green velvet school outfit.
He also wore a leather school satchel on his back for at least half the show. By the end of the gig he was down to just his shorts which also hit the deck to reveal some union jack boxers. I recently had the pleasure of taking my 15 year old son to see them at Wembley stadium London. In his words "they were awesome" and I had to agree, simply awesome.

I can remember at the time I was playing a residency at The Cresent Hotel, Douglas, Isle-of-Man in 1976. I was 25 at the time and our night off was Sundays, so for the first time I went off to The Lido to watch a band called AC/DC I had never heard of them, as I remember there were only a few people there, maybe because Disco Music had become popular that year and thinking that they had no chance as Metal had fallen out of favour to Disco even though I really enjoyed the show, I have always liked metal, I remember seeing "Melbourne" spayed upon the PA Cabs, and always remember seeing Angus Young being carried around the floor on the shoulders of a Roadie. That year I can remember going to The Lido to watch bands, Dr Feelgood, Procol Harem an Status Quo.
