Back in the early seventies AC/DC played at the Sandgroper hotel in Leederville - it was a sort of we've been on Countdown and we are going to do a couple of shows around Perth before we head back over east.

Me and my mates located ourselves at a table next to the dance floor and when the band played we were exchanging words with Angus dressed in the shorts n school gear
words like F your ugly and he would shout back have an Fn look at yourselves Get Fd etc etc and he enjoyed it, awesome guitarist.

Bon Scott announced that they would do one more song and have a break , so not to be caught waiting as it was my turn to buy i go up the small stairs to the bar and get two jugs of beer, as i am heading down the stairs Bon is coming up them and he says thats what I need is a drink! I said get a glass. He replies stuff the glass and grabs a jug and has a drink but just behind me is a Liquor and Gaming copper who reaches over and grabs Bon for something stupid like unruly behaviour, beer goes everywhere as the hotel security straighten things out.

I get back to the table with 2 jugs that are nowhere like full and beer all over me.
my mates ask what 'happened to you?' and when I tell them one of them replies, trust you to be in something like that. Next thing a hotel security guy shows up with 2 fresh jugs and says this is from the band. So in a way i have had a drink with Bon Scott. I still remember vividly his cheeky smile and sleeveless vest as he grabbed the jug.

I was at AC/DC's concert at the Leederville Hotel, Perth WA, 18th September,1975. Alas: I was only 16 at the time - YET, the concert was a blast. Bon Scott's vocals, and Angus and Malcom Young's guitar playing were excellent. Great set of tracks played (most I didn't know before attending the show). The audience responded enthusiastically to each track played (as I did).
Although years ago, THAT concert began my life as a still dedicated fan of AC/DC - and as a side point - Bon Scott was a far better lead vocalist than his replacement, Brian Johnson - in my humble opinion.
