I was a senior in high school when I attended my favorite rock bands concert in Memphis Tennessee. Me and three of my high school buddies drove two hours to the Mid South Coliseum. The very first song was Hells Bells. A huge bell was lowered from the ceiling, being rung louder louder as it lowered. Angus appears out of the dark, killing his opening rift and when Captain Red Beard introduced them, he stated that they provided all the power they could get from MLGW but it still wasn't enough. When they performed their last song, "For Those About To Rock," and fired them cannons, tiles fell from the ceiling of the Coliseum. It was awesome! We left there with our ears ringing for about a week. Truly an event that I will never forget.

Damn....I cant believe I'm this old! I might not be able to remember what I did 5 minutes ago, but remember this concert very clearly. Jeff (above review), is spot on. Tiles falling from the center ceiling of the coliseum when the cannons went off was memorizing thru my beer and bong bent state of mind. This concert in particular, combined with back to back ear infections directly contributed the 50% hearing loss I have in one ear today!!!

It has been almost 40 years ago, the year was 1982, Jan. 19th, "For those about to rock" tour. I was 17 years old. Oh buddy, it was the loudest concert I have ever been to, so loud that it knocked down several ceiling tiles from the top of the Mid South Coliseum. It was magical. My ears rang for several days. I remember this concert like it was just yesterday. By far the best concert ever !
