Following the last date of the Black Ice 2008 US Tour, Brian Johnson dedicated a music room at Sarasota Memorial Hospital on Dec. 22nd. Nearly $20,000 for the room came through the John Entwistle Foundation. Brian, Cliff Williams and drummer Steve Luongo - the foundation's director and former bandmate of Entwistle - raised money for the room with gigs last year.
Dr. Jennifer Mayer, a pediatric oncologist, says music therapy can help children who are anxious about surgery and illness.
The room includes an electronic drum kit, guitars, a keyboard and a computer with music recording software.
Brian jammed with Dr. James Schumacher and kids on "Route 66" after the opening ceremony.
