    By Kelly, San Antonio, TX:
OMG! I can't believe that I was at a show where AC/DC opened for Styx! I was down front and Angus Young got carried right past me playing guitar... it was freakin' awesome! I was 16 at the time and still can't believe how LUCKY I was to see that show! Fort Wayne loved rock n roll!

    Long live AC/DC!

It's great to think back about this show. I was 17 and we headed for the show as soon as we got out of school. It was all general admission so we wanted to be right up to the doors when they opened so we could get right up front. Styx was great and Ram Jam did not make it to this show due to a plane problem if I remember correctly. It was our introduction to Angus, Malcolm and the gang. We were hooked and I have never stopped enjoying their music and shows. Thanks for a lifetime of great memories.

WOW, WOW, WOW! My first concert. I was 14. I went with my sister, Wendy who was 15 and my best friend Linda. It was our first concert. I think back at those times, we grew up in the greatest generation. Most of our parents were divorced, we raised ourselves. Linda and I were on the floor in the very front pressed up against the stage. We were on the far left, front. I looked down right in front of us and there was a large pan filled with what looked like powder, there were cords coming out of it as well. During the show Linda and I were pushed up against the stage and I didn't like feeling trapped. We were able to push back against the crowd to the 3rd or 4th. Row. I am so thankful we got away from the stage because during the show, the tray filled with powder exploded and lit on fire like a bomb it exploded, even where we were we felt the heat, it was an incredible experience. It was the best of times and the worst of times. I wouldn't change a thing.

I went to the concert to see Styx, the other bands I had never heard of. Well when AC/DC opened the show I was blown away. I was up front on the floor and can corroborate what Kelly stated. In the middle of a song suddenly I was blinded by bright lights and everyone was yelling as the crowd parted and Angus came by, brushing up against me and almost bowling me over. What a rush, those guys were crazy and I'll never forget it.
Not downing Styx, but AC/DC outdid them IMHO. In fact I don't believe that any band could've competed well with those mad Aussies that night. From the time that they got on stage until they left it was nonstop jam and their energy was unbelieveable. I'm glad that I was able to see them when Bon was still fronting them.
