I doubt there was 8000 at this show. Maybe 1000. There was noone in the seats and the floor was full. There was a crazy snowstorm and radio stations scared people away. Conflicting reports of whether the band was going to play. We were teenagers over an hour from home...we were going to the show! We parked at the school above the civic center and climbed over the fence and walked around the loading dock to get in. They had set the sound up for a large crowd but the crowd never showed. My ears rang for three days! As we left the show we went out via the loading dock doors and ran into this short fella with Winston's rolled up in his T-Shirt and a Moosehead in his hand. I was 15 and was taller than this guy. When he handed me a beer and said...good to meet you I'm Bon Scott...I wasn't sure what to do! He signed my ticket, we all finished a beer and we climbed back up the hill to the car and down 81 to home. Always wanted to share that story somewhere...this is a good a place as any! Mike Willis still have your ticket?

Best concert EVER! If only I had video'd it....it would be priceless!!! Angus Young took off stage & went around the entire upper level 'circle' of the whole colosseum WHILE continually playing the guitar!!! It was AWESOME... everybody went NUTS!!!!
1st concert I had taken my sister with me (wasn't a rock fan) & she still talks about it..!!

I was at this show. I remember that it was colder than a Highway to Hell that was for sure. It snowed a lot and closed down the whole area it seemed. I don't remember anyone but AC/DC playing. I'm pretty sure that the other bands didn't make it to the show due to the snow. I DO remember Bon CARRYING Angus around the arena floor, on his shoulders, while Angus played an extended solo. He not only carried him around the floor he then took him up on the upper promenade, and carried him around that as well. I thought it was funny because here was one little dude carrying another little dude around, and both of them together didn't put Angus much above the crowd. I also was in awe thinking that for someone that supposedly partied as much as Bon did, that he sure was a tough little bugger. It WAS one of the best shows that I have ever seen even after all of these years. That's what I remember after nearly 33 years.
