    By Nigel, London:
Don't know how it happened but I only heard about the tickets for this going on sale on the internet about 10 minutes after they did (which was about 6 minutes after they had sold out!!. Only one thing for it; get to the cashpoint on the day of the show, empty the bank account and find a tout outside the venue.

Got the money, found the tout and paid £160 of my hard earned for a £10 wristband! Getting in was such a priority that i had to forgo the pleasure of taking said tout down some back alley and breaking his legs before securing a suitable rebate on the price.

To be fair, £160 was a bargain. I couldn't quite believe I had got in for this. Rumours were flying about concerning Brian Johnson's health but after some delay, the lights went out and bang....there they were!

Straight into "Hell Ain't A Bad Place To Be" which was an unusual one to start with but I couldn't have cared less. They just gave it the full welly from start to finish but without any fancy effects (that I can remember) so it was a bit like stepping back in time to the first time I saw them at Hammersmith Odeon (you can stick that apollo bollocks as far as I am concerned)in November 1979.

Little did I know then that I would be waiting another 6 years to see them live again (twice at the O2 in April 2009 and again at Wembley in June 2009). Maybe that £160 was well spent after all. Thank you Mr Ticket Tout; all is forgiven (for now anyway).

I was at the main superb show on 21 October but I also went to the full stage and light production rehearsal the previous evening,
at the same venue. I was there for my website www.raysgigs.com and there were around 50 of us (press, guests, competition winners) gathered close by the stage.
Just four songs played but it was pretty amazing and surreal.
