First time to see AC/DC, with 5 friends all at the age of 16. Friendly papa's drove us to Amsterdam and waited outside the venue, not having a clue about the party going on inside and the way their sons were acting! Bought my first AC/DC t-shirt and we met up with Adje Van den Berg, known for his own great band Vandenberg and his work with David Coverdale. After the warm up, the riffs off Fly on the wall were released of the famous Gibson. After that first riff, the venue was shaking for 90 minutes with a brilliant set of greatest hits. Angus came by on the shoulders of Brian (fist and last time I experienced that).Best part of the evening: the canons were so loud, that parts of the ceiling came down! Sorry, can't remember the setlist exactly, but definitely included were: Fly on the wall, Shake your foundations, Back in Black, You shook me all night long, Shoot to thrill, Hells bells, Let there be rock, Whole Lotta rosie, Highway to hell, For those about to rock, Dirty deeds done dirt cheap, High voltage, Jailbreak. After that, saw every tour and looking forward to Rotterdam and Dortmund in March 2009. AC/DC, a brilliant and unforgettable live experience. If you have the chance to see them (again), go out and enjoy pure energy!
