By Udo Richter, Kempen / Germany / NRW:
My first live-contact with AC/DC. Westfalenhalle 3 was a small hall, but had a great sound on this day. Fantastic!

    By Matt, Bochum, NRW/Germany:
Until that day I had only seen a couple of shows in the closer area around my hometown, which were more or less club gigs by lesser known bands.
The concert on Oct. 17, 1978 was my first event in a big hall. AC/DC were supported by a German band called "Bastard". Don't know if they supported the Dortmund show only. The guitarist and singer of the supporting band moved up and down a little while playing a guitar solo and I thought "Why doesn't he stand still in front of his microphone?" Then I saw Angus' movements. I was 17 yrs. old and AC/DC blew me away. I'd been a big admirer of Bon's voice already and I still am. I remember the crowd chanting "Angus, Angus, Angus..."
One bloke yelled "Overdose" a couple times and I really expected the band would listen up to him and play the song. I was totally inexperienced.
When I recall this night I still get goose bumps. About one year later on Nov. 21st 1979 I saw them again in the same place. The rest is history.
