My sister and I were there... At the time of the show no one even knew who these guys were, we were there for Aerosmith. As it turned out the show was awesome and, obviously, everyone knows who AC/DC is today!

I was 11 (fifth grade) when I saw this show with my best friend. My mom took us. First concert. We went to see Aerosmith, had no idea about warm-up bands and had never heard of AC-DC. They were not on the tickets or on the bill at all as far as I know. Really thin sound at that time. Would love to hear a bootleg of this show someday! When I saw them again at Toledo Speedway two summers later in 1980, it was a different thing completely.

This was one of the loudest concerts I attended at the Sports Arena. Earlier gigs like Thin Lizzy/Queen were loud...but the AC/DC/Aerosmith concert my ears rang for days. Decibels? We didn't care back then... just check out a pair of headphones from the era! Marshall amps floor to ceiling... the music was so loud that when Aerosmith came on we had a hard time identifying the songs. We were on the floor... and lucky I wore my Cheap Trick shirt... my party could find me in the crowd when I lost them having moved up to the seats for a better view. I do remember the opening of the show Bon Scott was on the shoulders of Angus Young from back of the crowd. Great show! hard to believe its been 40+ years!
