Me and about a half dozen of my buds piled into one of our vans to head up to B'ginnings on the advice of one of our younger buddy's (Dennis) to see this new band out of Austrailia not knowing what to expect. After a rather lengthy band-set-up, Dennis kept telling us that we would not be disappointed. Following a few rounds of beers & cocktails, the crowd building to slamming their hands on the tables, and feet to the floor, we noticed a strange little dude in an old schoolboy's outfit, tuning up a six-stringer. All eyes turned toward Dennis, like, what the f**k have you got us into now to you whacko. Little did we know that the whole crowd was about to get totally ROCKED !!! All of us had no idea whatsoever that this 'lil dude in short pants could jam like he proceeded to do, and when the lead singer busted into the song "Let there be rock" we lost ourselves in head-banger heaven,....long story short after a few hours of fantastic rock music, we seven drunk dudes headed back to our van, hopped in, and made our way back to the SW part of Chicago, our ears not popping and returning to normalcy 'till we were miles down the Roosevelt !!! Best small venue concert I have ever witnessed ! Totally Groovy

The show was absolutely incredible. Bon Scott was at the height of his career and I think Angus Young was only 23 years old. It was the first time I had heard of a wireless guitar let alone actually seen one. At one point Angus got on Bon's shoulders and he came out into the crowd. The highlight was when he got off his shoulders and onto a large circular bar in the middle of the place and jammed while he ran around the entire bar knocking down glasses and sending beer flying in the air. It was a night I will not forget!
I kept the ticket stub and my Powerage 1978 US Tour concert shirt. My teenage daughter wore it to the Show I took my family to at Wrigley Field in 2016 and actually got a $100 offer for it which I declined.
