I was 16 when I went to this concert. A big fan of Aerosmith at that time. All I remember is that ACDC blew them away and I have been a fan ever since. What a great memory of my youth.

This was my first concert. I was 16. Originally I was there because I was, and still am an Aerosmith fan. Seeing AC/DC open was amazing! They stole the show! Aww the good ole days!!

I was 15 years old. AC/DC was the warm-up band to Aerosmith. AC/DC absolutely blew everyone away! Aerosmith was terrible, but it didn’t matter as we had just seen the best Rock-n-Roll band ever, AC/DC!!

Omg!!! Will never forget that concert 1979 Rapid City south Dakota. AC/DC were the greatest. Stationed at Ellsworth AFB put us just up the road from this event. Got my tickets and me and my room-mate headed to concert. As AC/DC was playing, someone came up to me and pasted a BACKSTAGE PASS/after concert meeting. OMG. I was in shock!! I had bought a black satin pant suit with white pinstripe on Jack. Bought a white felt fedora hat and stuck a black and white feather in my hat. Ready to party! Needless to say me and roomie partied all night with these party animals. Lol. Bon Scott was great Fun. What a loss for sure. Never will forget that Concert. Took them to catch their Airplane the next morning. Chance meeting with a great group for sure.

What a show!! I was at the '78 show as a college student, cost was like $8, had bleacher seat straight out from stage. AC/DC tore the house down! We all worn out by the time Aerosmith came on. I can close my eyes and see the show!
By Mark Willis, San Pedro, CA USA:
I agree with everyone so far: AC/DC came out cold and blew the roof off. Angus in his schoolboy outfit and a wireless Gibson SG. Bon Scott wailing like an Aussie banshee.
After a dramatic pause with a black curtain across the stage, Aerosmith came out and...sucked. Well that's too kind, they sucked and also blew at once. They were out supporting the Live Bootleg Lp. Steve Tyler still owes me a 9$ refund for that ticket. But I can always say I was one of the first people in the US to hear AC/DC rock!
