Ok, I saw this show - I was 16. I didn't know who AC/DC was - I was there to see Aerosmith. AC/DC was a rock band like I had never seen - Aerosmith was so drugged up, they sounded horrible, where AC rocked hard -Angus- full of energy - couldn't take your eyes off the band - absolutely blew Aerosmith off the stage. I bought my first AC DC album shortly after... Going to see them in Memphis this week with my 14 year old daughter who has probably 50 AC/DC songs on her Ipod, from Live Wire, Whole Lotta Rosie to Rock N Roll Train. What a blessing to be able to do this with my kid!

I too remember how awesome this AC/DC effort was. We were blown away at the energy the guys were putting out. I remember Angus going out into the floor audience and the entire crowd was standing up..it was High Voltage for sure. And the other guy was right, Aerosmith came on and they were completely faded..we ended up leaving. The best performance ever, in my opinion..AC/DC with Bon Scott that night.

17 years old then, came to see Aerosmith, left an AC/DC fan.. AC/DC was so full of energy. Crowd loved it. Angus came out onto the arena floor, about 5 feet from my seat. Aerosmith came out faded and got booed throughout their set. Unforgettable concert.

I went to this concert with 3 friends. We were in the 18th row, and we were the ONLY ones standing when AC/DC hit the stage! I don't think any of us sat down thru their whole set. I didn't see ANYBODY in the audience paying ANY attention to them.....UNTIL-- ANGUS CAME OUT INTO THE AUDIENCE!!! HE got EVERYBODY on their feet!! It was GREAT!!!!!

By Bob Mortensen, NorCal CA USA:
Aerosmith was my favorite band until this show! I was 17 and had slept out overnight to get tickets for them. I had 25th row floor seats the best I had to date for any show. What a big disappointment! But I am really happy I went because I discovered AC/DC and got to see Bon Scott before he left us.
AC/DC was the second band to play this night and when they came out they were taking no prisoners. About half way through Angus was on Bon's shoulders and he was running around the floor with Angus still playing. AC/DC had stole the show and Aerosmith knew it. They didn't even try to play good the only played for like 45 min. They were so bad I vowed to never see them again. I haven't. I did see AC/DC many times after that. Live music is better!!!!

I was at this show. I was 13 and it was my first concert experience ever. Looking back I still can't believe my parents let me go to this show! They had no idea. I really wanted to see Aerosmith, my first love in rock and roll. Still love them even though they broke my heart when they split up a year later. My seats were not good. John E. Cougar was the opening act followed by AC/DC. After their first song nobody clapped. Bon Scott addressed the crowd saying something like, and I am paraphrasing, "That's all you got? Before we're done, all of you will be on your feet!" And he was right. They lit up the arena and the place went nuts. They were on the map.

This was my first concert. Went to see Aerosmith and was not familiar with AC/DC. Amazing show. We were in row 3, right side. So loud I felt it in my teeth. Angus running around with the wireless guitar was infectious! Vocals were crisp and overall stage show was great. Will always be special in my heart. In my opinion they smoked Aerosmith.

By Charles H. Smith, Long Beach, California:
What a show by AC/DC! During the first 30 seconds of the opening song, Angus had already run across the stage twice. I had never seen anyone with so much energy before and I had seen numerous high-energy acts like Kiss, Ted Nugent and Van Halen. Like the other folks said, entered the arena as an Aerosmith fan and left the arena raving about AC/DC. Poor Aerosmith... drugged out, burned out and out-played. I turn 61 in a few days and I told my teenage daughters that we will see AC/DC in concert "once things open up again."

Classic AC/DC: When in CA in July '78 I swapped for last minute ticket, center aisle, saw new friends Aerosmith roadie chix Shannon and Lynette there, but AC/DC was the way better band and slapped Angus's hand as he was carried down the aisle playing guitar. Became a fan that day. (Must have missed Melloncamo though).
