    Aerosmith 1977-78 “Aerosmith Express Tour.”

AC/DC was not on the U.S. radio at that time, so we had to mail order their albums, which usually took 6-8 weeks for delivery. "Problem Child" & "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap" were just released in Europe and won't hit America until 1981!

AC/DC freakin' kicked ass - & in those days, anyone who was a serious head-banger knew all about AC/DC. And although we had already seen Aerosmith before - this was AC/DC's 1st U.S. tour. -- we HAD to go!

None of us had ever seen AC/DC before except for the pictures & posters in "Hit Parader" & "Circus" magazines, so when Angus Young came out on stage in his trademark School-boy outfit and that Chuck Berry kick across the stage, I got to admit, I thought it was funny as hell.

But I gotta say, that 40 years later & 100 concerts -- THAT AC/DC concert in '78 was the loudest, most head-banging, raw-raunchiest, Smack-Down, Grind-Thumping, High Energy, Rock 'n Roll show I have EVER experienced !!!

My most vivid memory - hands down - was when they played their new song "Sin City" from the just released "Powerage" album - Holy Sh*t!

There's Bon Scott wearing a pair of jeans & sneakers - no shirt. During the hammering bass solo from of their new bass guitarist Cliff Williams mid-song, Bon Scott climbs on top of Angus Young's shoulders and while STILL playing AND with Bon on his shoulders singing using their wireless guitar and microphone -- runs THROUGH the freakin' audience all over the floor seating area - NOT MISSING A BEAT!!!

40 years later, 100 concerts later -- THAT AC/DC concert in '78 was the most head-banging, loudest, raunchiest, Smack-Down, Grind-Thumping, High Energy, Rock 'n Roll show I have EVER experienced --

I was, Thunderstruck!!! NEVER seen else like that then or since!!!!
