    Fan reviews:

    By Don Hyde, Florida:
I was days away from my 17th birthday. A couple of my friends and I went to see Alice Cooper. We were really excited. We listened to the radio constantly and never heard any mention of a warm-up band. Nobody had heard of AC/DC back then in our circles, and neither did the radio around there. When the lights finally went down a little later than we expected we were all stunned when out strolls a motley looking crew highlighted by some clown in a little school boy outfit. There was no introduction, and there was no banner or drum cover with the band name on it, nothing... Nobody knew who this group was. Everyone in the entire audience was in total shock as these 5 guys rocked the roof off the building. It was like getting hit square in the face with a shovel. It was like a revelation of the rock we'd been wanting to hear, but just had not been unleashed yet...The night was highlighted by their final song "Rocker" whereby in the middle of the song, three huge goons move to the front of the stage and school boy hops on the shoulders of one of the goons who was trailing the other two goons as they shoved people out of the way while Angus tears up the guitar for a rock rock rocking ass kicking solo as the group moved in an arc through the floor. It was festival seating so the floor was packed to the gills with people for Alice Cooper, and the song seemed to go on and on while Angus just shredded the guitar the whole way through the audience. It must have taken 7 minutes for them to come back around to the stage where Angus hopped off the shoulders of the one goon, and they wrapped up the song. The crowd went absolutely nuts. THey quickly left the stage, with no encore even though the crowd was begging for one more song.

It took weeks for any of us to figure out who in the heck that group was. It was one of those legendary moments that stayed with me and one I'll never forget. RIP Bon Scott. Thanks to the boys for carrying on in the aftermath.
