    By Jonathan Haig, Leeds UK:
Having seen the band on BBC Sight and Sound, myself and school friends made the short trip to Victoria Hall in Keighley. The tour support was The British Lions who got the show of to a great start in front of an audience of some 250. AC/DC started with the traditional exuberant charging of Angus donning a '69 SG Standard; this was the guitar that eventually got so waterlogged that it became unplayable and was retired. The noise level was spectacular and the energy was off the scale. My ears rang for days afterwards. Having experienced AC/DC live I was a life long convert. Many people can't believe that only 250 people witnessed the band that night now that over 200,000 can pitch up to stadiums around the world.

As Johnny H says, we bussed into the big city...keighley,.. from our home town of Ilkley. johnny, Phil S , Martin P and others?... we were just 17. Victoria hall is a small venue and no frills. inside, the band blew us away. I remember Angus appearing in the crowd having entered whist playing the opening riffs to a song... we couldn't understand it, no cable on his guitar, earliest sighting of radio mic. Loud and rocking we came away pretty shocked at the impact of the performance. Great fun gig. Only took me 39 years to leave this review.

    16th May 1978....life changed....
Saw them on BBC too, and my cousin Robert had the first three albums, so when the tour brought them within 8 miles we had to go....
British Lions were good support (even got the album) but DC were spectacular!
Riff Raff was amazing opener and was sad in later years didn’t see it performed, although ended up seeing them 19 times down the years....would have been 20, but not keen on Axl Rose, so got a refund on that one!
Ears so bad next day, went to Doc to see if they were permanently damaged-still can’t believe only 250 there!!!
    C’mon Guys-one last tour please....

    By Martin Brass, Cross Hills:
I was 16 and had previously only seen one concert, Thin Lizzy the previous November in Bradford. My older brother and his farm mates picked me up and took me to Keighley. It was an amazing experience and the energy coming from that stage really was electrifying.
    Oh and that volume...
I had tickets to see The Jam there a few weeks later, but because of the noise upsetting the locals, no bands played there again for several years. After the concert we all trailed across town to Nickers night club (where the Pistols had played) It was billed as a "heavy metal disco." Bon and the band were there playing pool.
Happy days. Only taken me 43 years to put into words.
