Fan Reviews - Week 5, USA

Cincinnati's show simply ROCKED! We witnessed folks from all age groups, 10 to 60 years of age, all dancing in the aisles - some a little more dressed than others. Angus lived up to his likeness hovering over the stage. He deserves idolization. And any rumors of Brian Johnson losing his voice can be completely put to bed. Out of the last three tours I've witnessed, this was his best performance. The set list was the same as prior shows - a great mix of there classics, as always. I believe "Give It Up," would have made a great addition to the line-up. We can only hope there will be a second trip back to the States. For those of you who have yet to see the show, you won't be disappointed.

I am 18 and AC/DC have been my favorite band since I was 13. I have 12 of their cd's from Jailbreak to Stiff Upper Lip. I know I'm just a rookie AC/DC fan considering they have been around for 26 plus years but this was definitely the best show that I have ever seen! This was the first time I have seen AC/DC and I sat in the 4th row and it all seems like a dream. There is no way that those guys are 50 years old, maybe they sold their souls to the devil so they could play rock and roll forever, but I tell you what, they are absolutely unbelievable. The only songs that I would have liked to hear that they didn't play was "Have a Drink On Me" and "Who Made Who" but that's alright, I'm not complaining, the show flat out rocked! The special effects were also awesome from the 30 foot bronze statue of Angus and the fire flying during Highway to Hell and just about everything else there. I just want to say that there is no better band out there than AC/DC and I can't wait to see them again! YOU GUYS ROCK!

  • Ramona Morgan
This was the first time I had ever seen AC/DC live in concert. It was the best show I have ever seen in my life! We had great seats, and I was just in awe of Angus Young! Where DOES he get his energy?!
The bronze statue of Angus was AWESOME!! Loved the smoke coming from it's mouth and the fire balls effects! Brian and Angus are definitely fan friendly! They shook hands with people in the audience and really seemed to be enjoying themselves. The only thing that disappointed me was that they didn't sing my favorite song, "High Voltage." I wanted to hear that live so bad!
This is a night I will NEVER forget! If AC/DC were to come back again to Cincinnati, I'd be the first to go! Great show! If you've never seen them before, I urge you to go! You'll never regret it, and you'll never forget it! AC/DC rules!!!

  • Logan Lovely
WOW!!!!!! The night of my life! Angus and the boys rocked with 20 awesome songs. This is the only band who can open up with the most famous songs and still play 19 more head banging gut wrenching tunes that left me deaf for days. By far the show of the century, Brian rocked and hit every note perfect as for the guitar brothers the were never in better tune playing loud raw and good old ass kicking rock!! Not this new pop or soft wallflower or sugar ray sellout bull shit, just hard rock as Bon Scott meant it to be. ACDC prove that they can still rock live and make hearts skip a beat with the STIFF UPPER LIP Tour!!!

  • Scott
All I can say is DAMN WHAT A SHOW!!!! The night started with Slash's best impression of Guns N Roses. After the lackluster performance by the Snakepit, it was time for the Thunder from Down Under! After Angus took his customary bow, the show was underway. Shook me all night long was the opener and they played it to perfection. The video to Hard as a Rock was priceless and the girls during the Jack was great. They were 2 girls in particular that really got Brain's attention. He actually sit down and watched as the 2 girls went at it on the screen. As they ripped through Highway to Hell, beach ball size flames shot across the stage. As the show ended with the cannons firing and confetti flying, the crowd roared with approval. Every member of the band was awesome and Brian's voice sounded excellent. I seen them back in '96 and this concert was better by far. AC/DC WE SALUTE YOU!!!!!

  • Sean Woodall
First off, They were Loud!!!!, I've been to many AC/DC concerts and do not remember them being that loud. The balls of fire shooting out on "highway to hell" were very cool. The songs off of "stiff upper lip" sounded very good. Angus's energy still amazes me. Personal favorite was "let there be rock" Very Intense!!! Overall the best performance that I've seen from them. The crowd was very loud as well and there was some interesting things going on in the crowd during "The Jack" They still rock harder than any band I know.

I had the good fortune to see both the Chicago and Milwaukee shows - no real difference between them. I'm not going to repeat a lot of what's already been said, because I agree with most of it. A couple things: While the shirt prices are out of control, the ticket prices are not. Lower shirt prices may mean higher ticket prices, so I'd rather they stick it to the shirt buyers to make up the difference. Second, AC/DC concert vigins won't realize it, but Brian's voice has lost a whole lot even in the last five years. Don't get me wrong, these guys are great performers (Phil, Cliff and Malcolm don't get anywhere near the credit they deserve!!!), but Brian's much-celebrated cig habit has taken a whole lot off his voice. He struggled through Shoot to Thrill both nights, and seemed to have little endurance in the second half. I hope they don't have to shop for a new lead singer in the next decade because his lungs have been smoked out!

I've been looking at the last past reviews and I'm the only woman writing. No I didn't do the boob flash.
However, the band rocked!!! My buddy and I head banged and body writhed (together of course) while they played for almost 2 1/2 hours straight (with a short break near the end--ya gotta get those cannons out there somehow for "For those about to Rock". The sound in the stadium wasn't the best, so I'm sure those at Tinley Park, IL the next day, got a better sound, but the energy of these guys was boundless and made up for the sound quality! I hope I rock that well when I'm in my fifties (less than 20 years to go!) It was a great mix of new and old faves, to the delight of all who were there. Good crowd too, mostly 30 and up people and it wasn't chaotic. Angus is definitely one of the greatest guitarists ever lived. I could go on and on, but y'all know how fantab the band is, otherwise you wouldn't be reading this page. HOWEVER! Slash and his Horse shit--er, Snakepit, they should be barred from existence on this planet. The man can play some guitar, give him credit for that. Gee, I got up and missed the lead screamer of profanities attempt to play pocket pool. This is no comparison to Angus' strip tease to his boxers--missed the bare tushie this time, Angus! I hope we don't all have to wait so long for the next tour!

  • Jan K.
The show was absolutely rockin'! I agree with all the reviews I've read from previous tour dates before reaching Milwaukee. Brian Johnson sounded great! The crowd was singing every song and really getting into it. I wished they would have played Jailbreak, but I realize they have to make a cutoff somewhere! My favorite is always Dirty Deeds! I still liked the Razor's Edge Tour a little better, but this still rocked big time! Loved the statue of Angus!

  • Tim Hintz
The show was great but the sound was awful. Couldn't hear Brian's vocals clearly at all and overall the volume was ear splitting. I play guitar and if it was loud to me, it was LOUD. Some songs took a few bars to identify it was so bad. But, I could tell that the band was HOT, Angus was playing his little ass off!!! I would definitely see them again.

What a disappointment and what a horrible show ! I read most of the previous reviews and was anticipating a great show but was a part of 1 of the most lackluster performances I've ever seen.
OK...enough of my bull----! I'm lying.......I couldn't help starting this way since all of the previous reviews were stellar. This was my first AC/DC show and it was the most spectacular event I've ever seen in the 36 years I've been on the planet. The gents exhibited extraordinary and genuine energy on this 92 degree night just outside the Windy City. Now, we all know about the classic hits, the pyro-technics, the boobies on and off the screen, the cute montages and the Statue of Angus so I'd like to provide a new review with a different perspective. I'm not trying to re-event the wheel here but simply want to share my initial sighting of the lads from down under.
It was complete with athleticism, professionalism, true fun, special effects and great music which created the biggest and loudest sing-a-long I've ever been a part of and I've seen Elton, Billy Joel and John Mellencamp. And these guys rocked their asses off! I stood in amazement for 2 hours and simply had an awesome time.
First of all, Angus is the hardest working guitarist in rock & roll I've ever seen. He's the blue collar, hard driving, duck walking soul of the band and knows how to please the crowd. I loved the intro to Rock and Roll Ain't Noise Pollution...what a great back and forth he did with us. And that was pretty cool that he wears his wedding ring. I would have passed out trying the things he did or survived only with a shot of oxygen every 20 minutes. He also performed perfect solos during The Jack and Bad Boy Boogie. Lastly, it had to be humanly impossible to play Let There Be Rock and Whole Lotta Rosie back to back. Is he from Mars?
Brian was also in blue collar form reving up the crowd and seemed to enjoy himself the whole night. Not bad for being in his 50's. They all bring it together when they unite musically. Half way through the show my cousin asked me what the hell are they going to play for an encore?.....What's left? The set was the same and the only boos from the crowd came during Safe in NYC which caused the band to wonder why. They are too foreign to realize the competition between the Big Apple and the Windy City....I have a solution....simply insert the city the band is playing in, that evening.....Safe In Chicago....San Antonio...etc.. you get the picture....UFO use to do it for their hit "Lights Out" and it drove the audiences nuts.....OK I'm off my soap box.
During the Jack, 2 women kept rubbing their breasts together and the cameraperson wouldn't leave it alone....thank god....talk about getting a bang for the buck!!!!
The opening act....sorry but I refuse to repeat their name because their singer and the ex-gunner recited every explicative available...need to get their butts to bible school. That wasn't music...it was cussing with guitar accompaniment.

  • Bear
No doubt nothin' but energy. I've seen the boys 12 times and thought they were at their best. Just one side note. This was my third concert at Tinley Park and It's a nice facility but "THE WORST" place I've ever been to for sound. Lots of reverberation... If a concert will be at two places, one being a three hour drive, I would drive before going to the world.

  • Barb
What can I add to what everyone else has said? I've been a fan for almost 20 years, but have never attended a concert. What a way to go . . . I won front row seats and back stage passes. The concert would have been awesome from anywhere, but to be high-fived by Brian and actually see the sweat dripping from Angus as he stood just inches away. I still can't wipe the smile off my face.
Well you all know how great the show was. The boys from down under were a real wonder. I can't even say enough positive things. But, what I do want to add is that when I met them backstage (great, great, greatest thrill of my life!), they were happy to be there, down to earth and seemed to really love being with the fans. I got hugs and kisses (whew!) from everyone and they smiled and signed and repeatedly said they hoped everyone enjoyed the show. Are they nuts? How could you not. I will not miss another show near Chicago. In fact, I may try to catch them again before they leave the states. Kick-ass job, boys!

  • Mickey Ciokajlo
First time I'd seen the band since '91. Great show. Brian is much more animated these days, and he talks, in more relaxed manner, to the crowd in between songs. He seems much more comfortable being the front man than when I first saw them on Fly on the Wall in '85. Great, great show. I was looking forward to hearing Get it Hot, based on the earlier reviews, but Pollution and NYC were nice surprises.
    Set list:
    1) You Shook Me All Night Long
    2) Stiff Upper Lip
    3) Shot Down in Flames
    4) Thunderstruck
    5) Hell Ain't a Bad Place to Be
    6) Hard as a Rock
    7) Shoot to Thrill
    8) Rock 'n' Roll Ain't Noise Pollution
    9) Safe in New York City
    10) Bad Boy Boogie
    11) Hells Bells
    12) Satellite Blues
    13) The Jack
    14) Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap
    15) Back in Black
    16) Highway to Hell
    17) Whole Lotta Rosie
    18) Let There Be Rock
    -----
    19) T.N.T.
    20) For Those About to Rock (We Salute You)

  • Tom Johnston
Wow, where do you start? The show was amazing. The boys rock as hard as ever. The place was packed & no one went home disappointed. While they sound good on album/cd, AC/DC is one of the best live bands around. With so many great songs, the whole show is one long greatest hits package. From the opening chords of "You Shook Me All Night Long", to the final chords of "For Those About to Rock", this was non-stop dynamite. Along with a blistering temperature of 90,it fit the evening. Speaking of hot, it was good to SEE the local talent, during "The Jack". If you get a chance to see this show, GO, you will be Rocked !! Slash's Snakepit played a good set, with muddled sound. It was good to hear somebody who could actually sing on "Mr. Brownstone".

  • Scott
Well Here is the real Deal. AC/DC kick major ass as they always do. It was a great show with lots of stage antics. The boys looked and performed great. Are these guys old? It didn't seem like it. Sung a lot of the classics and 3 new ones. Quite a few women showing their boobs. (thanks ladies) the band really enjoyed that. These guys are the greatest rock and roll band ever. Forget that four letter word band (KISS). Slash's Snake pit should never be allowed on the stage again. I can't believe some people were getting into them. It was a big waste of my time. It was a very hot and humid night. This is a outside venue. I walked away deaf and very sweaty. Long live the true kings of rock and roll AC/DC. WE salute you!!!!

  • Kyle
All I have to say is fucking-a! as with the other reviews, Slash sucked big time as an opener, so it gave me a chance to go get food. T-shirt prices were very high, but oh well. I got the black stiff upper lip, and the tie die satellite blues one. The sound was excellent and the boys were in top form. you shook me all night long was an interesting opener but it kicked ass. From Phil's first hit of the drums, everyone started jumping and banging their heads. all the greats were there: shot down in flames, hell ain't a bad place to be, back in black, thunderstruck, dirty deeds, the jack, etc. brian johnson's first comment was, "shit it's hot Chicago." one point he said "man it's gettin hot" and I was expecting him to go into meltdown, but he went into safe in NYC, which was fan-fucking-tastic. everyone was very into satellite blues, and the showing of tits was very high during the jack. everyone was singing to every song. my throat still hurts.
hell's bells was the best but it was tied with back in black and highway to hell. those cannons at the end of for those about to rock were the loudest I've ever heard. my ears are still ringing from the angus and malcolm and cliff cranking it to 11. and my neck is going to hurt for weeks from all of the headbanging. AC/DC IS THE FUCKING BEST! CAN'T STOP ROCK N ROLL!

  • Alan
I have been to many concerts in my life but this had to be the best one. Every one was in a great mood and ready to listen to some kick ass rock and roll. If you ever get the opportunity to see this boys in concert do it. Shirts where a little salty the cheapest one was $32. Tinley Park is one of the best stages I have been to other than some jack ass security guard.

AC/DC-Better with age!! I've seen them three times and this is the best show they've put on. Tight yet laid back and comfortable, an totally in control. The set list seemed about the same as other set lists mentioned above (I don't usually bring pen paper to concerts), but they seemed to form a small huddle around the drums between each song, probably to keep it spontaneous. Nice song to open with no one would have expected it, but everyone knows it and loves it. It put everyone into high gear right away, including the band.
They played more older Bon stuff than I expected which was a treat. I was surprised to hear Shot Down In Flames, Bad Boy Boogie, and especially Hell Ain't A Bad Place To Be.
Unfortunately the Twin Cities Girls were a little reluctant to set 'em free during The Jack. But the song was fun anyhow. The crowd was really pumped up and loud. Actually there were quite a few songs where you could here the crowd just as well as the band.
All in all it was a great show and a great night, except for the torrential downpour after the show.
What to say about Slash's Snakepit? Well I feel bad for them because what I could make out they're probably a pretty good band.
I know by watching them they played their asses off, but their sound was terrible, which isn't necessarily their fault. The arena's half empty so everything echoes more, I'm sure the p.a. is geared more for the headliner than the opener, and It's hard to listen to material you're not familiar with when the sound is bad. So it's too bad everyone thinks it's the bands fault for sounding bad. Also Slash seemed totally sober and coherent from where I was.

  • Luvto
Well, Slash's first song was an indicator to go back out to the concession stand for more vodka!! I feel embarrassed for him...should have chosen some better musicians for his band....he is capable of doing better.
AC/DC were good, but not as good as the last concert in Minneapolis that I attended in '96. They didn't provide the required "foreplay" before the climaxes when it came to their special effects. Angus' guitar solo was much more shorter than expected. The statue was an "o.k." prop, but not very exciting. I was happy they played "I Feel Safe in N.Y. City" as it is one of the songs I enjoy from the new album. All in all, I was a bit disappointed in the show.....comparing it to the last concert I attended. They didn't "kick ass" as hard as they are capable of.

  • Dave
I've waited to see AC/DC for 20 years! I was hooked on Highway to Hell when I was 16. I remember hiding the album cover from my parents!
Brian Johnson gives me the impression that he loves what he does. He enjoys entertaining. I also think a lot of credit goes to Malcolm, Cliff, and Phil for their roles in supporting Angus as he does his antics! It's easy to watch Angus and forget about the other guitars in the background.
AC/DC played "The Jack" about halfway thru the concert. What an awesome break from the fast tracks. This really grabbed the audience's attention and allowed them to sing along. God it was great. There are other bands I want to see in concert, however, if they are not AC/DC, I'm a little disappointed....
The best track was 'For those about to rock' in the encore. Those cannons are the greatest. These guys rock!

  • Linda Kay Demmer
TRUE BLUE PERFORMERS, BACK IN BLACK WITH A STIFF UPPER LIP!!!!
AC/DC rocked the Target Center Saturday night with the rocking combustion of a stick on (TNT) DYNAMITE!!!!
I am a first-time AC/DC concert goer, a new fan and I am SOLD on this band. The audience expressed their excitement and gratitude with hoots and halls and non-stop dancing and first waving.
Where does Angus get that energy? I love this band. I love them all. They all truly enjoyed being on stage and performing. I miss them already.
In the meantime, I'll just have to get my AC/DC "fix" with some CD's and this website.

Kansas City, MO 3 Sept. 2000
  • Becca Giedosh/Michael Beck
Mike and I were both virgin AC/DC concert goers so when we saw AC/DC perform live, it blew all other concerts away. The Thunder from Down under was ultimate rock poetry in motion. But allow me to start at the beginning:
The first thing to happen was a display by a pair of young blondes in the side portion of the arena. After some prompting by the spotlight person the first girl showed all of Kemper her tits and then proceeded to treat us all to some lesbianic action as she and a gal pal smooched. (Much to the delight of the arena.) After that starter the crowd was ready to go. Then came the opening act.
Slash's Snakepit left a lot to be desired and past reviews proved to be true when they hit the stage. It was a 45 minute scream-a-thon by the lead singer who was wholly undesirable himself. This man was what seemed to be a Stephen Tyler impersonator with his velvety pants and sneakers. There was a lot of microphone twirling and jumping around that made this a pathetic Aerosmith wannabe display. The best way the lead could promote a response from the crowd was to yell, "Kansas City.". At one point the lead told the crowd to stand up to which we all did and after about 5 minutes, if that, everybody was sitting back down. The lead singer was truly a prima-dona if I ever saw one and even felt it necessary to stick his hand in his pants and massage his package. I really don't understand what he was trying to achieve there, but from where I was sitting there was a lot of snickering going on. Slash was playing well, good and sweaty. Overall, I could have done with out the whole band. A fan next to me remarked that he would have rather just heard Slash out there for 45 minutes just fiddling around on his guitar. Perhaps they should consider that for later in the tour?
As for AC/DC, they were true animals. For as old as the lads are getting they put out a show with the energy of men much, much younger. Brian belted lyrics wonderfully and you could tell he was having a good time playing air guitar in sync with Angus off on the side of the stage. It was great when the crowd cheered him on and he made his running leap and hung from the bell that was about 20 yards from where we were sitting. He seemed to make a good connection with the crowd and in his usual, casual, kick ass manner kept the crowd riled and ready for more. Angus didn't stop the entire time. He was sweaty and absolutely fabulous as he hopped around stage and played his guitar. He equally kept the crowd going and really showed that he can still be a bad schoolboy after all these years. The best what when he threw his tempertantrum on the giant petri-dish looking attachment at the end of the runway. The thing was on hydrolics so everyone could see from all angles as he rolled around with his guitar when they lifted it up in the air. The strip-tease was of course kick. Where else but at an AC/DC show can a guy like Angus take off his clothes and have all those fans screaming and cheering because they paid to see it happen? You could tell by his expression that he was loving it and feeding off the crowd's undying enthusiasm.
This show kicked so hard that its going to take a week to get the shoe mark off our asses. I highly recommend going to this show. Buy tickets from scalpers if you must, but see this show. It will rock you hard-core! AC/DC ROCKS!

  • Adam
Well, AC/DC absolutely kicked ass in KC. From the opening chords of You Shook Me All Night Long to the final cannon blast of For Those About To Rock, the crowd was on their feet, pumping their fists in the air, and chanting for more of Angus's crazy antics. The band looks great for their age, I don't think Brian has changed a bit. The crowd loved the huge bronze statue of Angus, personally, I loved the glowing horns and bellowing smoke. Highlights of the evening had to be Safe in New York City, Back in Black, Whole Lotta Rosie, Bad Boy Boogie, Let There Be Rock (My personal favorite), Dirty Deeds, and of course, For Those About To Rock. The women in KC were fucking spectacular, before the show even started there was spotlights on two girls making out. During The Jack, I think half of the women in the arena got topless, one girl 2 rows up from in the 1st row had her nipples pierced! The last big thing of the night for me and my friends was catching up with the tour bus on the to St. Louis, and Malcolm was sitting shotgun on the bus smokin a cig, and we yelled his name, and he gave us a thumbs up out the window. AC/DC is the best rock and roll band that has ever, and will ever walk the face of this earth!

  • Nate Coppock
What do say about the greatest rock band of all time, for lack of better words, THEY KICKED FUCKING ASS. Kemper arena, Kansas City, MO, 20,000, SOLD OUT!!! Bon would be proud. There has only been 1 concert I've seen that could equal this show, and that was the Ballbreaker Tour. From the opening chords of "You Shook Me All Night Long," to the last cannon fire of "For Those About To Rock," there was not an ass on there seat all night (except for the guy passed out in front of me...what an idiot). They had a great line up, mainstays such as Thunderstruck, Shot Down In Flames, R'n'R Ain't Noise Pollution, as well as must play classics Highway To Hell, Dirty Deeds, Back In Black. You could see who the die hard fans are when you see them singing along with the lesser known Bad Boy Boogie, and Hell Ain't A Bad Place To Be. I would of like to have seen more off the new CD, but it's cool. They did replace Get It Hot off the previous line up with new one Safe In NY City, (my personal favorite off the new CD). And I would of like to have seen more than Hard As A Rock off the "Ballbreaker" CD (there best since "Back In Black"). It doesn't matter, none the less the best fucking show in the world. There is really nothing more to say, you can't put a show of this magnitude into words. Catch it if you can. If you can't your just assed out. WE SALUTE YOU!!!

  • Hard as a Rock
This was absolutely the best day of my life. I had never seen them before and expected a lot. It was all there and more. We were in the very back of Kemper and it was still the loudest thing I have ever been to in my life. The show literally kicks your ass. These guys are the kings, hands down. All these idiots who listen to crap like Limp Dipshits and Corn can stick it where the sun don't shine. As far as I'm concerned AC/DC is the only and the greatest rock n' roll band ever. If you ever have the chance to go to an AC/DC concert I guarantee you won't be disappointed. THE LOUDEST THING ON EARTH IS AC/DC LIVE.

  • Steve Davis
This is the band of no nonsense, just rock the house, as quick and ashard as you can. This was the second time that I had seen AC/DC at Kemper Arena. The band was about as good as it could get with Angus doing his usual head thrashing, Johnson, was what can I say other than he fell well into place with the demise of the late Bon Scott. They still just keep turning out the hits and from what I saw of the crowd it didn't matter if you were twelve or sixty, you could not help but get into it and the crowd. Snake Pit was not bad with the appearance of Slash, but could have done better for the mix of the bands. Between the fireballs and the statue of Angus with the perverbial horns, lit eyes and blowing smoke how could you not have had a good time. Highway to hell just about brought down the house and Whole lot of Rosie didn't do bad. All I could say was it was a hell of a road trip. Hoping that this is not the last tour, we will see them again. Considering that the band is on the edge of retirement age, what the hell, old folks homes need a little rock and roll too. Just hope that it is where I will be with them, what else could we expect from Angus.

  • Benjamin
Last night I went to see AC/DC and Slash's Snakepit here at Kemper Arena in Kansas City MO. I didn't care AT ALL for Slash's Snakepit, I thought they were a poor opener for one of the greatest bands of all time and in my opinion the inventor's of hard rock. I can't tell you how loud and rocking AC/DC were. They just tore the roof off the place. It was a packed house, sold out to the last ticket and everyone enjoyed the show. I loved the set, the huge Angus statue was awesome with smoking nose, lit up horns and everything, it was just awesome to say the least. I can't remember the set list in order, but I can however remember the songs in no particular order: You Shook Me All Night Long, Hells Bells, Shoot To Thrill, Back In Black, Rock and Roll Ain't Noise Pollution, Stiff Upper Lip, Safe In New York City, Satellite Blues, The Jack, Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, Thunderstruck, Hard As A Rock, Highway To Hell, Shot Down In Flames, Whole Lotta Rosie, and the encores were T.N.T. and For Those About To Rock. I am only twenty years old but have seen my share of concerts in my time and this one rates real close to the top of my list. I must say I was a little disappointed, I wasn't holding out a lot of hope to hear my fave AC/DC song Riff Raff, but it was still an awesome show. Can't tell you how loud the show was, I have left two shows now with my ears literally hurting and ringing, the only other being KISS. AC/DC was louder though, and I loved every minute of it, if anyone reads this and is debating on getting their tickets, think about it no longer, pick them up, you won't be disappointed. For Those About To Rock with AC/DC, I SALUTE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Mike Brands
I was privileged enough to see the Minneapolis and Kansas shows over the Labor Day weekend and if that isn't a true holiday I don't know what is. I read somewhere that rock was dead. Apparently the speaker of this lie was not present at either of the the two shows. i believe both concerts to be sold out and no one left the shows without knowing they had had their asses rocked. The props were first class and was great to see the cannons. Brian seemed to be enjoying himself. I think it makes a huge difference when a band wants to be in the position. I think the set list was complete with the right mixture of new with old. Angus seems to have endless energy running from one end of the stage to the other countless times. I thought starting off the night with You Shook Me All Night Long was awesome. It got the crowd right into it. I saw the Kiss Farewell tour stop in Omaha earlier in the week and have to say the AC/DC shows were far better. I hope the rumors are true about the next summer dates as I would love to see AC/DC at least 2 or 3 more times. If the boys are in your town get off your ass and get down there. I rode in excess of 1300 miles to see both shows and would do it again tomorrow.

What do you say about the #1 rock band of all time? Words just can't describe it. But for lack of better words, I'll just say they kicked major fucking ass. There is only one concert I have ever seen that could compare to this, and that was the Ballbreaker tour. From the opening cords of You Shook Me All Night Long to the final canon fire of For Those About To Rock, there wasn't an ass touching the plastic of the chairs all night. A great line up including new songs such as Stiff Upper lip, as well as previous CD Hard As A Rock, also including classic mainstays as Back In Black, Highway To Hell and Dirty Deeds, the "Thunder From Down Under" didn't let us down. I would of liked to of seen more from the new CD, also more from the Ballbreaker CD, but that's cool. They did however do Safe In NY City (my favorite off the new CD), in place of Get It Hot like they did in earlier concerts. But when the played songs like Hell Ain't A Bad Place To Be, and Bad Boy Boogie you could see who the Die Hard AC/DC fans were. Rock N' Roll Ain't Noise Pollution, Thunderstruck, Angus' striptease, and most definitely the infamous Jack. Angus never stopped banging that head. Of course there were women getting naked everywhere, and the didn't hesitate to put that on the big screen. This as usual was the greatest shows on earth. YOU CAN'T STOP ROCK N' ROLL.
