  March 99
  • 16: AC/DC receives a “Diamond Award” (US sales over 10 million for one album) for “Back In Black”. Brian Johnson and Cliff Williams attend the award presentation at the Roseland Ballroom in New York.
  April 99
  • Brian Johnson announces that the band is about to start recording the next album, with George Young possibly producing.
  July 99
  • 17: AC/DC enter Bryan Adams' Warehouse Studios in Vancouver, Canada to record their new album. George Young is producing. The recording sessions last until late October. They record 17 tracks.
  October-November 99
  • Mike Fraser is mixing the album in Vancouver during October and November.
